The videos were designed as instructional tools to help instructors and students identify and improve the seven process skills. The skill level of students in the clips varies, and thus provides a starting point for class discussion.

Large Classroom Video

This video provides one example of how POGIL can be used in large classrooms. Having more than 50 students in a class may pose challenges, but many large classroom instructors are ready and willing to share their POGIL implementation strategies. In the video, you will see how an instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University begins the activity, checks in with individual student teams, and assesses the whole class for understanding.
