Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor to The POGIL Project, scholarships to attend a Summer 2024 workshop (Fundamentals of POGIL Virtual Workshop, Virtual Classroom Facilitation, Virtual Activity Writing, or the Summer 3-Day In-person Workshops) have been established to help The Project meet the goals of its strategic plan.
The goal of the scholarship is to increase the number of POGIL practitioners among rural middle school and high school teachers, as well as those educators from Historically Black Colleges or Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions and Tribal Colleges who have limited or no access to professional development funds. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on meeting eligibility criteria and demonstrating a commitment to student-centered learning. A limited number of scholarships are available, so apply ASAP! Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis to qualified applicants, so please apply early!
Preference will be given to applicants seeking funding to attend in-person summer workshops.
How to Apply-- If you are interested in applying for this scholarship to attend either a Summer Fundamentals of POGIL Virtual Workshop, Virtual Classroom Facilitation Workshop, Virtual POGIL Activity Writing Workshop, or a Summer 3-day In-Person Workshop, please click below.
