Teresa Bixby is an Associate Professor in the Chemistry Department at Lewis University and serves as the University Assessment Coordinator. She received her B.S. in Chemistry and Physics from Susquehanna University in PA in 2003 and her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA in 2009. After a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, she began teaching at Lewis University in 2012.
Teresa is a part of the Primary Collaboration Team for the ELIPSS Project, an NSF-IUSE grant focused on the development of rubrics to provide feedback and assess process skills in STEM, and is pursuing the assessment of course-based undergraduate research experiences (CUREs) in her own research program. Teresa was selected as an NSF ASCEND Faculty Fellow in 2020, and she serves in her local chapter and on the National Council of Iota Sigma Pi, the National Honor Society for Women in Chemistry.
