Susan is The Project's Publications Liaison. In this position, she is responsible for shepherding POGIL activities (and authors) through processes related to the PAC and official POGIL endorsement and working with the publishers of POGIL materials to prepare them for printing. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry at Oklahoma Christian College, followed by a Master of Science in Microbiology from Wichita State University. Later, she received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Kansas Newman College.

Susan was introduced to POGIL methodology in 2007 and became an associate editor for the HSPI project in 2009. After teaching high school biology at a variety of levels for 27 years, she is happy to be retired from grading papers and very happy to have landed a position with her POGIL family. She is working remotely from her home office in Wichita, Kansas, closely supervised by Cosmo, the Spanish Water Dog and Tucker, the Standard Poodle.
