Siobhan Julian teaches AP Chemistry and Regents Chemistry at Webster Schroeder High School in Webster, New York. After growing up in New Hampshire, she moved to upstate New York where she completed her bachelor's degree in biochemistry at SUNY Geneseo. She then attended the University of Rochester working towards a Ph.D. in biochemistry, but life had other plans. After five years in the lab, she made the decision to become a high school science teacher and joined the Webster Central School District, where she has been teaching since 2008. She came across POGIL in 2014 and has been a passionate proponent of student-centered teaching ever since. Since her first POGIL Project event in 2017, she has loved working with other POGIL Project members in any capacity she can, including working groups, the POGIL Podcast, NCAPP Planning Committee, and POGIL Learning Communities. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three cats, and working on an enormous MCU cross stitch project that she will likely never finish.
