Stacey (Whitaker) Wilson is the Multimedia Specialist for the POGIL Project. He is responsible for managing the development and revision of paper-based instructional materials as well as overseeing the implementation of relevant technologies used to further the mission of the POGIL Project.
Stacey (Whitaker) Wilson is originally from Arab, AL, a small town in the Northeast part of the state. She has resided in Lancaster, PA for 15 years. She is married to Dolan Wilson and they have three sons: Matthew, Ben, and Drew.
Stacey attended Arab High School (Arab, AL). She attained with distinction her BS in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL) and her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Alabama A&M University (Normal, AL). Stacey also attained a K-2 Literacy Coach Certification and 20 post graduate credits from Millersville University (Millersville, PA). Her professional teaching experiences spans 8 years, two states, and three grades (K-2). Prior to joining the POGIL Project in spring 2015, Stacey worked as the Executive Director of Good Wishes (North Bend, WA). Good Wishes provides complimentary head wraps to any person experiencing hair loss due to injury, illness or treatment. Stacey Chaired an inaugural 5K at her gym in May 2015 and is Co-Chairing the 2015 American Cancer Society Legacy Ball to be held in October.
Stacey joined the Junior League of Lancaster in 2006. Her JLL Placements have included: Membership Development, Communications Chair (3 Years), Summer Solstice Chair, Communications Task Force Committee, JLL Advisor, President-Elect, and President. Stacey is now a Sustainer and served as the 2014-15 Parliamentarian as well as a member of the Lydia Hamilton Smith Committee.
