Britton Miller joins the team as the Director of Development. Britton helps explore funding and partnerships for the organization to expand into new communities, populations, and subjects. She also heads up the Project's annual fund and enjoys working year-round with our incredible POGIL community. Additionally, Britton works with Principal Investigators to integrate POGIL and The POGIL Project into their grants. She helps keep a schedule of events and projects for each grant and is the primary point of contact for questions about the Project's role in each grant.

Britton has more than 15 years of diverse nonprofit and government experience. She brings a belief in the power of education and a deep respect for teachers to her work. Among the special teachers in her life are her husband (a history teacher), daughter (an English teacher), and son (in college and headed in that direction as well).

Britton earned her B.A. degree in Liberal Arts from Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with a focus on creative writing and American literature. Britton also holds a certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Nonprofit Resource Network at Millersville University.

Britton loves spending time with her family and being tolerated by her cat, Jack. Originally from Florida, Britton has also lived overseas and up and down the East Coast. She loves the beach, books, running, Maine, fish chowder, and barbecue, and she's never met a vegetable she didn't like...well, except maybe fennel.
