In this 1-day POGIL workshop, faculty will experience a POGIL-based learning environment, analyze a POGIL activity in terms of the learning cycle, explore classroom facilitation and consider implementation ideas. Afternoon breakout sessions will be determined based on participant interest and may include POGIL labs and classroom pacing using polling techniques. Open to all disciplines.

During this POGIL workshop you will learn about effective student-centered instructional techniques, participate in POGIL activities, and learn about writing POGIL activities. Participants who attend this workshop will be able to: articulate fundamental POGIL principles, gain an appreciation of the effectiveness of the POGIL methodology, and develop an understanding of how to start writing POGIL activities.
